For the time being, Third Phase Computing is a website focused on sharing various aspects of the IT world. Here you will find guides on simple tasks such as installing an Operating System to more complex tasks. What the future holds for this site is yet to be determined. There are a lot of ideas floating around and hopefully a few of those ideas will come to exist on this site.
The who behind Third Phase Computing is an IT professional named Jason. Jason has been in the IT field for over 10 years beginning as a simple Network Administrator for a small Marine Corps detachment in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Mayland. From there he has held roles as a Senior Systems Administrator, Senior Citrix Enginner, and his latest role as a Lead Systems Engineer. His entire IT career has been supporting various 3-letter government agencies in and around the Washington, DC area. He holds several IT certifications with Microsoft, VMware, Cisco and ISC2. Jason doesn't really specialize in one specific area and is considered more of a Jack-of-all-Trades, master of a few type guys. However, he enjoys the world of virtualization and there is where he tends to focus much of his time lately.
Beyond the IT professional stuff, Jason is a husband, father, and former Marine.
Third Phase Computing is headquartered in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.
The why of Third Phase Computing is simple enough. Jason likes to share what he knows. He knows that people can benefit from the things he has to share. He is also aware that he is one in a sea of other IT professionals doing the same thing but that doesn't matter. What matters is that it exists. If this site helps just one person fix an issue or helps them learn something new then it is all worth it.
